Taking inspiration from Darwins travels around the world and of the intricate illustrations he made on his trip, this design pays homage to the early use of colour pigments to describe the treasures of the natural world. In a historical nod to Darwins time, it has been only partially coloured during this era paints were very expensive, and many paintings were left unfinished.
